Task 4: On-Farm Irrigation System Management
- Update District 12 crop production budgets. This is a continuation of prior years' efforts and requires annual updating if basic economic information for agricultural production is to be maintained; i.e.; impacted by dynamic production, markets, federal farm programs, costs, etc. The budgets will be available at http://agecoext.tamu.edu/budgets/district/12/2008/index.php.Water savings from this work are not anticipated.
- When the agronomy-related data becomes available, perform economic analysis comparing different agricultural irrigation systems used in the LRGV. This is a continuation of prior years' efforts and necessarily requires the primary data being collected by other scientists. Once received, this economic analysis could be completed within approximately 6 months. Water savings from this work are not anticipated.
