Task 6 Extension

We mutually agree for Bruce Lesikar to deliver the following during the period of June 1, 2006 to May 31, 2007, using funds from the Rio Grande Basin Initiative:
- Evaluate a beta model water treatment system for reducing the mineral content of saline water. The test system will be evaluated for a reduction in the electrical conductivity and total dissolved constituents in the water.
- Evaluate a method for use of sunlight to distill water. The sunlight passes through a glass shield to evaporate the water and then collects the condensate generated for use as an irrigation source. The quantity of water generated per foot of distillation apparatus.
- Evaluate a multi-layered solar collector for distillation of saline water. The water will be evaporated and condensate will be collected for use. The volume generated per unit area of collector will be recorded.
- Generate a news release/informational sheet describing the solar distillation method for development of irrigation water.
