Task 1 Research

- By June 2002, obtain Bureau of Reclamation's and Texas Water Development Board's formal letter of endorsement of economic modeling methodology for appraising costs of water and energy savings associated with irrigation districts' proposed capital renovations to their conveyance and/or pumping systems.
- Develop TWRI reports documenting economic analysis of each authorized irrigation district project. Four initial districts will be targeted responding to BOR authorization legislation providing reports. Target dates are May 15, 2002, June 15, 2002, July 15, 2002.
- Develop an executive summary of economic analysis of each authorized irrigation district project. Each summary will be included in project report for BOR.
- Track value of water from marketing in the region in order to be prepared for any question on benefits of the projects. Complete review of literature by September 2002.
